Bloomsburg Spring Art Walk
Downtown Bloomsburg will host its Spring ArtWalk on Thursday, May 6, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. ArtWalk is a free arts festival to showcase exceptional local artists exhibiting throughout businesses in our vibrant downtown setting.
Speak with artists about why and how they create artworks in photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, fibers, and other media. This will be a great opportunity for visitors to see beautiful works by local artists, learn something about art-making, and perhaps even acquire a new and original piece of art!
As part of the Spring ArtWalk, prominent outdoor venues will feature live music and discussion by talented jazz, blues, roots and bluegrass musicians about their artform. Come dance to blues at our fountain, groove to jazz on the courthouse plaza, stomp to bluegrass in front of the BTE’s Alvina Krause Theater, plus more.Join springtime creative activities for children of all ages at sites along Main Street: stretch your imagination with creative drama workshops by the Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble, become Avatar or Darth Vader in full face paint, learn origami, bang on a drum and decorate one to take home, express your inner artist with sidewalk chalk, be wowed by our balloon artist and bamboozled by our street magician.
And don’t forget to satisfy your hunger for the culinary arts in one of our many excellent restaurants all in strolling distance.
