Downtown Bloomsburg, PA - wants people to think of bricks for people's stockings this year instead of coal.
The organization is raising money to build a "green space" on Main Street, namely a plaza in front of the Columbia County Courthouse. It's expected to cost $85,000.
While grants from the Alcoa Foundation, Columbia County commissioners,
Renaissance Jamboree and the Columbia-Montour County Chamber of Commerce have covered $39,700, the organization needs to raise money from the public as well.
It's
selling bricks and pavers that will be set in the plaza. They can be engraved with your family's names or your company's logo. For more information,

Organizers will have sample bricks and pavers during late-night shopping in Bloomsburg on Friday in the Old Main Street Interiors building.
Late-night shopping lasts from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday.
