OCTOBER ARTWALK |
| Thursday, October 21st 4 PM to 8 PM Downtown Bloomsburg will host its October ArtWalk on Thursday, October 21st from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ArtWalk brings together local and regional artists with businesses in the downtown. Artists working in photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber, and other media will display their art inside several local businesses. The artists will also be present during the evening to talk about how they make their works and the ideas behind them. This will be a great opportunity for visitors to see beautiful works by local artists, learn something about art-making, and perhaps even acquire a new and original piece of art! The event is free and open to all ages. Refreshments will be served at various locations. |
HALLOWEEN PARADE |
| Sunday, October 24th 3 PM This is a community event, all are welcome! Prizes and refreshments to follow the parade in the banquet hall. Bloomsburg Fire Department, 911 Market Street Bloomsburg, Will be hosting it’s annual Halloween Parade Sunday Oct 24, 2010 The Parade will form in the fire hall parking lot at 9th and Market Streets Bloomsburg @ 3:00pm and begin moving at 4:00pm. |

AUTUMN/HALLOWEEN WINDOW PAINTING |
| Tuesday, October 19th to Monday, November 1st It is time for the annual Fall Window Painting Contest in Downtown Bloomsburg! Approximately 80 students from Benton High School, Bloomsburg Middle and Bloomsburg High School, Central Columbia Middle and Central Columbia High School, and St.Columba will show off their artistic talents by painting festive fall/Halloween themes on storefront windows. The event will be held from 9am-4pm on Tuesday, October 19th. Rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, October 20th. The October Artwalk will happen on Thursday, October 21st from 4 to 8 pm. Participants of the Artwalk will have the opportunity to select the People’s Choice Award based on the paintings creativity and overall appeal. A winner will be determined and be rewarded a savings bond sponsored by First Columbia Bank. Local artisans and dignitaries will judge the high school and middle schools windows and will be awarded cash prizes in each category to the first, second, and third place winners. The windows will remain painted until after the Halloween holiday. |

DOWNTOWN TRICK OR TREAT |
| Friday, October 29th 5 PM to 7 PM Children accompanied by an adult are invited to a safe trick or treat in the downtown. Take a stroll through the downtown and visit participating shops for treats and goodies. (Look for the pumpkin on the door for participating merchants) BOO! |
